The City of Windhoek has announced a possible delay in the weekly household waste pick-up services.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the city said the delays are a result of mechanical issues with their trucks.
“The City of Windhoek would like to inform all residents that, due to a mechanical issue with the compactor trucks, there may be delays in waste collection services. As a result, bins may be emptied later than usual in some areas” the statement read.
The city urged residents to keep their bins outside till collection has been completed.
“Please be assured that the city is making every effort to resolve the situation and restore services to normal as soon as possible,” the city noted.
