Poison fears dog woman’s death

THE Police are investigating a possible case of murder after a 72-year-old woman dropped dead on her way home from a pension payout point.

The deceased, Teresia Kapwita,collected her pension at Muveve village in the Kavango Region on Friday. On her way home she apparently met friends and spent some time drinking and socialising with them, the Police say.She left their company at around 12h00, and on her way home started vomiting, collapsed and died.Police have opened a case of murder while waiting for the results of toxicology and histology reports.* A 23-year-old man was arrested at a village near Outapi on Friday for allegedly raping a three-year-old girl related to him.* Police in the Oshivelo area are searching for a man who allegedly raped a 25-year-old woman at Omatale village on Saturday night.* Three men who allegedly robbed a cuca shop at Mabushe village in the Kavango Region on Monday were arrested when they fled the crime scene.According to the Police, the three fired shots into the cuca shop, forcing the shopkeeper to run away, and then stole a number of portable radios, batteries, candles and food worth around N$1 900.All three suspects are 19 years old. A pistol and a shotgun were found in their possession.
