Plans to revive Keetmans airport

THE Minister of Works and Transport, Helmut Angula, has said that the jet fuel crisis crippling the Keetmans Airport for the past two years will soon be resolved.

Angula said Cabinet recently ordered the Minister of Mines and Energy to made budgetary provision for the rehabilitation of airport storage facilities.Angula was speaking at a meeting at Keetmanshoop on Thursday.The airport, with one of the best landing strips in the country, has become a white elephant since planes are unable to refuel there.
