WINDHOEK – Panna van Staden of King Cues Club is the new National Pool Champion after he narrowly defeated Vinito George Shatilwe of Mozarella’s Extra Hot Club 6-5 on Sunday at the Western Suburbs Rugby Club House in Khomasdal.
Shatilwe, who won the 2005 Carling Black Label Pool Shootout competition, could just not get the better of Van Staden, who came out in full force and demonstrated precision to win the competition, which was decided on the best of 11 frames.
