Pambili Young Designers (PYD) launched their new product line featuring the designs of Attila Giersch, Silvia von Kuehne, Frida Luehl, Benedictus Kutyowa, Tuaovisiua Katuuo, Chakirra Claasen, Maria Caley and Patricia Mtambalika, at the Craft Centre’s Omba Gallery last Thursday.
Featuring fashion, jewellery and accessories from PYD’s designers, the aim of the exhibition was to motivate PYD’s current designers to come up with new and fresh ideas, fostering a strong Namibian identity while embracing the latest design trends. Unique, trendy and surprisingly affordable, these designer products were conceptualised, manufactured, designed, packaged and marketed by PYD’s team of talented designers. The exhibition will continue until April 5 and can be viewed from Mondays to Fridays from 09h00 to 17h30 and on Saturdays and Sundays from 09h00 to 13h30.See The Weekender on Friday for a more in depth look at the exhibition.
