CLOSE to 200 exhibitors are expected to participate in the upcoming Otjiwarongo Agricultural Show to be held at the beginning of next month.
The annual event, organised by the Otjiwarongo Show Society in conjunction with the Otjiwarongo Municipality and other various stakeholders, is anticipated to attract more exhibitors and visitors compared to those of the previous years. The Chairperson of the Otjiwarongo Show Society, Nevil Neveling, told Nampa last week that although there were a few more weeks to go before the event kicks off, 65 per cent of the stands had already been booked and the available space was very limited. He attributed this to an increased demand from the exhibitors.Meanwhile, the Strategic Executive for Administration, Human Resources and Corporate Communications Ismael /Howoseb uttered the same sentiment adding that the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) would dominate this year’s show, compared to previous years./Howoseb said a decision had been taken to make the booking fee cheaper this year, in order to enable the upcoming businesses to showcase their products at this platform.”We have realised that some of the SMEs do not take part in the Show because of financial the higher booking fees. Now that the price has been reduced, the number of SMEs bookings have increase dramatically,” he said.Meanwhile, international exhibitors from Botswana, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Indonesia and many others, have also made their bookings and are expected to showcase their products at the event. The stands at the show include agricultural products, banking services, clothing, cosmetic and medical services and many others. The three-day event is scheduled from September 7 -9.NampaThe Chairperson of the Otjiwarongo Show Society, Nevil Neveling, told Nampa last week that although there were a few more weeks to go before the event kicks off, 65 per cent of the stands had already been booked and the available space was very limited. The three-day event is scheduled from September 7 -9.Nampa
