THE N/a ‘an ku se Lodge and Wildlife Sanctuary is hosting a free open day tomorrow and everyone is welcome to enjoy the day and meet some of the cheetahs and leopards.
The sanctuary is situated 42 km outside Windhoek on the airport road and is home to various wild animals including several wild dog pups. Visitors can get close to big cats, wild dogs and other animals. They can also enjoy performances by the San children as well as see and buy San crafts. The Waking Crew from Radio Wave will also be at N/a ‘an ku se from 09h00 to 17h00. The day’s free activities include a visit to Lucky the three-legged cheetah and an experienced researcher and guide will run a fun activity around big cat tracking near the lodge for children or adults to enjoy.People can also participate in specially priced activities like the carnivore feeding tour. N/a ‘an ku se provides a safe sanctuary for a number of lions, leopards, cheetahs, wild dogs, caracals and baboons, all within large purpose-built enclosures. The hour-and-a-half tour offers a chance to see some of these impressive wild animals up close, learn more about African wildlife and provides some unique photographic opportunities.
