Okakarara exhibitors should hurry

GOBABIS – The marketing director of the Okakarara Trade Fair Society has urged interested local and international exhibitors to register for this year’s trade fair before the deadline next week Friday.

Jackson Hindjou said July 29 is the closing date for all the businesses that are interested in participating in this year’s trade fair.He said the month of August has been reserved only for the allocation of spaces and stalls to those registered participants who will be exhibiting their products and services at the event.. Hindjou further stated that there are less than 50 stalls still left for the trade fair at the moment. The Okakarara Trade Fair Society had planned to cater for more than 250 exhibitors this year.’For this year, this annual event will be held at the new business centre, which was built with the assistance of the Ministry of Trade and Industry in Okakarara. All the interested exhibitors should not miss out on this one. But, they should not come at the last minute, looking for a stall as that will only create problems for us when it comes to allocating stalls,’ he stressed. Companies, government ministries, farmers and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) should remember that the Okakarara trade fair is a platform created for them so that they could interact with their local and international clients, he noted, adding that the idea of having the trade fair is to boost the economy of the Otjozondjupa region, as well as the economy of the whole country. The Okakarara trade fair was initiated in 2007, and organisers will be celebrating the event’s fifth anniversary now. Prices are also reasonable this year, he said, as the booking of the kapana meat stall will only cost N$400. For the bigger companies and government ministries, prices for a stall will range between N$ 400 and N$ 4 500. This year’s trade fair will run for a week from September 6 to 11. – Nampa.
