The Namibia Volleyball Federation (NVF) will host a FIVB Coaches’ Course Level II at DTS Sports Club in Windhoek next week, from 10 to the 14 June.

The course will be led by esteemed International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) instructor Viateur Sibomana from Rwanda.

A total of 34 candidates have registered for the course, including nine participants from neighboring countries such as Botswana, South Africa, Rwanda, Angola, and Zimbabwe. This diverse group of coaches will come together to enhance their skills and knowledge, contributing to the development of volleyball in their respective countries.

“The FIVB Coaches’ Course Level II is a significant step in the NVF’s strategic plan to upskill and certify coaches. This initiative follows the certification of numerous local coaches at the FIVB Level I in 2018 and 2022, showcasing the NVF’s commitment to continuous improvement and excellence in coaching standards,” the NVF said in a press release.

Hillary Dux Imbuwa, president of the NVF, expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming course:

“We are thrilled to host the FIVB Coaches’ Course Level II here in Windhoek. This course is a testament to our dedication to advancing volleyball in Namibia and the region. By investing in the development of our coaches, we are ensuring the growth and success of the sport for years to come.”

“The NVF looks forward to a successful and impactful course, empowering coaches with the tools and knowledge they need to elevate volleyball to new heights in Namibia and beyond,” the press release concluded.
