Nujoma Is A Hero, No Matter What

ONE wonders how The Namibian newspaper reports on issues from its “reliable resources” within Swapo, making serious allegations against the Founding Father of the Nation, and printing big headlines without even verifying their facts.

One only had to compare the headlines of last Tuesday between The Namibian and the New Era and figure out which newspaper has some hidden agenda against the Founding Father. Why don’t they mention the names of their reliable informers if they can mention those of others? The headlines in Tuesday’s paper informed the nation that the Politburo meeting was called to expel senior Swapo members from the party.Would that not make one anxious to read more on who those members to be expelled were? Is it only the names of the non-existing Omusati clique that can be mentioned? Why should the Founding Father’s name continue to be dragged through the mud by The Namibian newspaper? Just next to that story was another contribution by an Australian who stated that he would love to see Sam Nujoma tried at the ICC although he doesn’t believe that will happen.Would he then also love to see his cousins who committed atrocious crimes to the Namibian people tried? Dr Sam Nujoma is the hero of this nation and no amount of your reporting will ever change that! And will you now apologise for that story through your informer and/or even ask how they got their information – are they still reliable? They should not then wonder why the majority of this nation would support John Hakaye’s motion.Nameless Via e-mail Note: Name and address supplied – EdWhy don’t they mention the names of their reliable informers if they can mention those of others?
