THE Namibia Schools’ Sports Union’s (NSSU) national council meeting billed for the coming weekend has been postponed.
NSSU national co-ordinator Solly Duiker said the meeting has been postponed because of a lack of transport.
‘We cannot transport the participants, because the NSSU’s 2009/2010 budget has not been released yet,’ said Duiker.
The meeting, scheduled at Greiter’s Conference Centre, will now take place on April 16.
Duiker said the annual meeting will decide on next year’s schools’ sports events.
The full agenda for the meeting has not yet been finalised.
Apart from the 13 regional chairpersons, one executive member from each of the country’s 13 regional NSSU structures would be expected to attend the meeting.
