THE Keetmanshoop Town Council has appointed Jerry Shangadi as the Chief Executive Officer of the Municipality.
Shangadi has acted in the position for more than a year now following the resignation of the former CEO, Benedictus Rukamba. In a statement, the Mayor of Keetmanshoop, Andreas Biwa, said that Shangadi’s financial experience and performance in an acting capacity had made him “the natural choice for the job”.”Jerry is an outstanding public servant.I am confident he will step right into the job and not miss a beat,” said Biwa.Before joining the Municipality as Strategic Executive for Finance and Economic Development in 2001, Shangadi worked as an accountant and auditor.In a statement, the Mayor of Keetmanshoop, Andreas Biwa, said that Shangadi’s financial experience and performance in an acting capacity had made him “the natural choice for the job”. “Jerry is an outstanding public servant.
