NBL shines in Group Awards

NAMIBIA Breweries Limited (NBL) came out tops among its sister companies when it was announced the overall winner at the Ohlthaver and List Group’s seventh annual ’12 Seasons Awards’ held recently.

The awards, conducted between the group’s various subsidiary companies in seven industry-related focus groups, honours the company that made the greatest strides in 2008 with regard to financial growth, investment in human resources, improving customer relations and striving for operational excellence.
The panel, made up of members of O&L’s Executive Board, selected winners for each month of 2008, as well as the overall winner, with NBL taking the July and the overall awards.
Patrick Hashingola, NBL’s new Corporate Communication Manager, commented that ‘being a competition between sister companies, the 12 Seasons Awards are always competitive. Yet they inspire us to perform better in serving our various customers in our diverse industry sectors.
‘Winning was not easy this year, as we faced stiff competition from the likes of Hangana Seafood and Namibia Dairies who had equally shown great performances during 2008. However in terms of overall performance this year had to be ours – and the panel of judges recognised that.’
Hashingola, O&L’s Public Relations Manager for the past six years, joined NBL as its Corporate Communications Manager in mid-December.
In his new role, Hashingola acts as NBL’s chief corporate spokesperson and oversees its corporate communication with emphasis on enhancing strategic relationships and the company’s corporate image.
