Nando’s burnt on Buddhist advert

NANDO’S has come under fire again, this time over an advert that could supposedly offend Buddhists.

In a ruling handed down this week, the Advertising Standards Authority said a member of the public had complained about a Nando’s print advert promoting a ‘good karma’ meal.
The complainant, Karl Muller, said the advert was offensive as the Dalai Lama, the Buddhist spiritual leader of Tibet, had publicly condemned the slaughter and consumption of chicken, regarding it as bad karma.
