ROSA Namises, the former Secretary General of the Congress of Democrats (CoD), is back in Parliament after an absence of four and a half years.
Namises was sworn in as MP yesterday afternoon to replace Nora Schimming-Chase, who was recalled by CoD President Ben Ulenga two months ago and who subsequently resigned from the party.Namises is a founding member of CoD, and she was among seven party members who entered Parliament in March 2000. The CoD lost two Parliamentary seats in the 2004 elections and Namises did not return to the National Assembly. The CoD has been deeply divided since a congress and leadership election at Keetmanshoop in May 2007.
