THE Namibian Invitational rugby team left for Buenos Aires, Argentina, yesterday to play against invitational sides in that country.
The Namibia Rugby Union (NRU)’s chief executive officer, Christo Alexander, confirmed that two matches are lined up for the Namibian Invitational side.
The first match is scheduled for this Friday in Buenos Aires, while the second is set for May 16 in the same city.
The tour serves as preparation for Namibia’s International Rugby Board (IRB) World Cup qualifier against Ivory Coast in an away match set for June 13 this year in Abidjan.
The home encounter will be played at the Hage Geingob Stadium on June 27.
The team is expected back home on May 19.
