Namibian Estate Agents Board holds first meeting

WINDHOEK – The new Namibian Estate Agents Board (NEAB) held its first meeting here on Friday.Speaking at the meeting, Trade and Industry Minister Immanuel Ngatjizeko said the board must develop and maintain through training a cadre of professional estate agents who are knowledgeable and reputable in order to foster the development of the estate agency industry in Namibia.

He said currently most estate agent practitioners are concentrated in the Khomas and Erongo Regions, especially in Windhoek, Swakopmund and Walvis Bay, with few practitioners operating in Keetmanshoop, Henties Bay, Omaruru, Otjiwarongo, Oshakati and Ongwediva. “But these are not enough because all of the towns in all of the regions require the services of estate agents. The board must promote the industry in all the regions of the country,” he said. The board will serve for three years.-Nampa”But these are not enough because all of the towns in all of the regions require the services of estate agents. The board must promote the industry in all the regions of the country,” he said. The board will serve for three years.-Nampa
