Namibia Corporate Awards for parastatals to be launched

DANDANI Entertainment will launch the 2004 Namibia Corporate Awards for parastatals, commercial banks, insurance institutions and medical aid funds.

This came into light when Dandani’s Awards Administrator, Dandani Boois paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Theo-Ben Gurirab to brief him on the awards. Speaking to the Prime Minister yesterday Dandani said the Namibia Corporate Awards had registered with the Ministry of Trade and Industry and it operates on a consultation basis as a facilitative agent in the business field.State-owned companies, medical aid funds as well as financial institutions registered with the Namibian Financial Institutions Supervisory Authority (NAMFISA) would qualify to apply, he said.He said besides the criteria that would be used for selection, applicants would be required to pay a certain amount of money, adding that Dandani Entertainment is still working on the amount to be paid by participating companies.”Applicants would be required to pay a certain amount of money, and this money would cater for the awards since we are a small organisation and we are not that financial stable,” Boois pointed out.Dandani invited the PM to be the Patron of the awards, which are scheduled to be held in November this year.Gurirab commended Boois on the initiative, adding: “All successful businesses started there where you are and you would of course reach where others are today. All you need to do is to keep your vision open with a view to transform it into a communication tool to reach out to those whom did not reach yet”.-NampaSpeaking to the Prime Minister yesterday Dandani said the Namibia Corporate Awards had registered with the Ministry of Trade and Industry and it operates on a consultation basis as a facilitative agent in the business field.State-owned companies, medical aid funds as well as financial institutions registered with the Namibian Financial Institutions Supervisory Authority (NAMFISA) would qualify to apply, he said.He said besides the criteria that would be used for selection, applicants would be required to pay a certain amount of money, adding that Dandani Entertainment is still working on the amount to be paid by participating companies.”Applicants would be required to pay a certain amount of money, and this money would cater for the awards since we are a small organisation and we are not that financial stable,” Boois pointed out.Dandani invited the PM to be the Patron of the awards, which are scheduled to be held in November this year.Gurirab commended Boois on the initiative, adding: “All successful businesses started there where you are and you would of course reach where others are today. All you need to do is to keep your vision open with a view to transform it into a communication tool to reach out to those whom did not reach yet”.-Nampa
