Namfi, Norway sign quality agreement

QUALITY improvement and market positioning are at the heart of an agreement signed between the Namibian Maritime and Fisheries Institute (Namfi) and Norway’s Rogaland Training and Education Centre (RKK) at Walvis Bay last week.

It follows the signing of a memorandum of understanding in 2008 on closer co-operation. RKK, a Norwegian foundation established by Rogaland County, has a co-operative network of 30 vocational schools, supported by labour and employer federations. With the co-operation agreement, Namfi and RKK aim to establish a long-term relationship working towards organisational development, market position and continuous quality improvement. Namfi’s primary responsibility is to provide training for the maritime and fisheries industries in Namibia and elsewhere.
