More holiday discounts

THE Swakopmund Town Council decided at its January meeting to offer further discount packages for bookings made at the Municipal rest camp.

In 2001 Council passed a resolution offering discount packages to different groups. These included a 10 per cent discount for Namibians, a five per cent discount on cash payments and 20 per cent for Overlander groups.Two of the packages passed by Council in 2001 were repealed and altered to make the rest camp more competitive with other accommodation establishments.The 10 per cent discount offered to booking agencies that pay 30 days in advance has been changed to 14 days in advance.The periods during which the special tariffs apply have also been changed.They will now not be available during Easter holidays, or from June 15 to July 15 and December 1 to January 15.The five per cent discount offered to pensioners over 65 years DRC soon to be flush with toiletsThese included a 10 per cent discount for Namibians, a five per cent discount on cash payments and 20 per cent for Overlander groups.
