Namibian strength and endurance coach Robin du Toit led two of his star athletes to record-breaking success at the 2024 World Championship.

Earlier this year, Du Toit made history as the first Namibian coach to win a world championship in strength sports – a significant milestone in an increasingly competitive international arena.

In September, three ArtisticFit athletes under his guidance qualified for the Strongwoman World Championship in Germany, marking a new milestone in what has been a record-breaking year for the Namibian coach.

He and his athletes remain undefeated in their world championship appearances in 2024, going three for three in securing titles.

Nadine Cramwinckel, representing The Netherlands in the under 63kg category, claimed victory in her division and shattered the world record in the Zercher Lift. Her technical precision and raw power were undeniable as she achieved this monumental feat, cementing her place among the best athletes in her class.

Zaynab Aboudan, from the United States, competed in the under 54kg category and stunned the competition with her performance. Not only did Zaynab win her division, but she also set a new world record for her overall total – the cumulative weight lifted across all three events. Her strength and consistency across multiple lifts showcased her unmatched ability to dominate at the highest level of competition.

Du Toit attributes all his success to a higher purpose.

“I give all the glory for every success, every victory, to my Lord and savior Jesus Christ. It is through His strength that I am able to coach, lead and guide these incredible athletes. I am just a vessel for His work, and I remain grateful for His blessings every step of the way.”

His third star performer is South Africa’s Brendali Theron, who qualified for three separate world championships in different federations in 2024.

Unfortunately, and despite her best efforts, visa complications prevented her from physically competing in Germany.

Despite this setback, Du Toit’s two other athletes made history in their respective categories.
