THE Ministry of Education has taken time out to respond to a number of the complaints about the Education Sector, which have been SMSed to The Namibian: WHY are Himba children not allowed to study at Ruacana High School if that school is in their area? The school accepts only pupil from other regions while Himba children ignored.
The Ruacana High School is open for learners from all races and tribes. There are many Himba learners at the school.You are welcome to visit the school and see for yourself.ORPHANS have to suffer at the hands of school officials.If a Grade 8 student cannot get placement at Concordia should he/she also join the Grade 10s on the streets.The right to education does not apply to Concordia College.Shameful disgrace.If you did not get placement at your school of choice, you are encouraged to try another school.No Grade 8 learner should be on the streets while there are spaces available.MINISTRY of Education please pay students’ loans, it’s too late for excuses.The Namibia Student Financial Assistance Fund (NSFAF) in the Ministry of Education has settled the financial accounts of loan holders for 2007 at tertiary institutions.For those accounts that are still outstanding, students are urged to consult officials at the NSFAF offices in the Ministry.Yours in Education The Public Relations OfficeThere are many Himba learners at the school.You are welcome to visit the school and see for yourself.
