THE Police at Ondangwa are investigating a case in which a man allegedly shot and wounded his cousin in a bar at the nearby Onethindi village over the weekend.
Police spokesperson Sergeant Slogan Matheus said the incident occurred at the New Life bar at Onethindi at about 23h00 on Saturday.He said Angula Salom (32) and his cousin, Natanael Shoopala (22), were playing with a gambling machine and started quarrelling. Salom allegedly pulled out a pistol and shot Shoopala in the left leg. Shoopala was rushed to the Onandjokwe Lutheran Hospital and was discharged after receiving treatment.Salom appeared in court yesterday and was charged with attempted murder. He was not granted bail and the case was postponed for further investigation.
