Andreas Ndeshipanda (37) allegedly took his life at Walvis Bay on Saturday.
He was last seen alive by his housemate when he went to buy cigarettes at 07h00.
Erongo police spokesperson chief inspector Ileni Shapumba says the housemate later found Ndeshipanda dead at home.
His body was transported to the Walvis Bay police mortuary for a post-mortem examination.
No foul play is suspected.
The incident took place at Tutaleni at around 08h00.
