A FREAK accident at a construction site cost Edmund Appollus his arm yesterday.
The accident occurred at around 09h00 at the new M&Z head office construction site in Windhoek’s Southern Industrial Area.Appollus, an employee of Namibia Construction, got his arm caught in a cement mixer while it was in motion. Namibia Construction Director Karl-Heinz Schulz told The Namibian that it was not really clear what had happened. He said the machine operator noticed Appollus stuck in the mixer and immediately stopped the machine. Schulz said the severity of the injury was not yet known, as Appollus was still undergoing surgery.
