Mahangu processing plant coming

ONGWEDIVA – The Namibia Mahangu Millers and Producers Association (NMMPA) is planning to put up a mahangu processing plant, the association’s chairperson, Reverend Ananias Iita, said on Saturday.

Addressing the annual general meeting of the two-year-old NMMPA, Iita said the Ministry of Trade and Industry had been approached in this regard, and its response was being awaited. He said the idea was to supply Government institutions such as boarding schools, hospitals and army bases with mahangu, and this would only be secured if a processing plant was put in place. He pointed out that members of the NMMPA would be the shareholders of the envisaged plant.- NampaHe said the idea was to supply Government institutions such as boarding schools, hospitals and army bases with mahangu, and this would only be secured if a processing plant was put in place. He pointed out that members of the NMMPA would be the shareholders of the envisaged plant.- Nampa
