PASKALINA Mukenge’s house at Otjiwarongo burnt to the ground on June 6, leaving her and her children homeless and without a single possession.
The fire broke out while Mukenge was working a night shift, and her four children were home alone. The two eldest children escaped unharmed, but two toddlers, Samolene (1) and Leanie Jeanette (4), suffered serious burns.”I have no idea what I am going to do once the children are released from hospital,” said Mukenge.”I don’t know where we will stay or what we will wear because we lost everything.I am only glad that my two babies were spared.”The two eldest children escaped unharmed, but two toddlers, Samolene (1) and Leanie Jeanette (4), suffered serious burns.”I have no idea what I am going to do once the children are released from hospital,” said Mukenge.”I don’t know where we will stay or what we will wear because we lost everything.I am only glad that my two babies were spared.”
