WINDHOEK Go-Karting opened its doors in December 2010 at the SKW Sports grounds in Olympia in Windhoek and they have now added Laser Tag Gaming to their family entertainment offerings.
Laser gaming is new, fun-filled, no pain and 100 per cent safe entertainment for old and young. The equipment is portable, tough and weather proof and can be used during the day as well as in the night. The guns shoot infra red beams and can be used indoors and outdoors. They make use of infra red technology just like a TV remote control and are thus harmless to the eyes and the person. There are light beams and sounds when shooting and hitting. The gun says, ‘nice shot’ when a person shoot someone and it makes a hitting sound when the shooter is hit. The gun also counts down the lives. A person gets 20 lives and endless shots. The person is out of the game when their lives have expired, after which the gun will stop firing.Other than paintball, Laser gaming is painless and without mess but with all the thrills and excitement. No special clothing or protective gear is needed to play this game which makes it easy for everyone to enjoy. It is also much cheaper and pricing starts at N$50 per person for 20 minutes. There is a professionally designed battlefield complete with the wreck of an airplane and cars.People can enjoy this new and exciting form of entertainment from Tuesdays to Fridays from 14h00 until 22h00 and on weekends and public holidays from 10h00 until 22h00.
