Namibian award-winning songbird Lady May Africa returns with a new single titled ‘Like A Phoenix’ on social media.
The song was released under the label Faluma Africa and distributed globally by The Orchard from the United States. The Afro-house track celebrates power, change and independence.
Based on the mythical Phoenix, the song represents overcoming hardships and personal growth.
Lady May Africa’s voice is twisted into the current state of Amapiano and Afro-house music production. She features LVMU, a fellow musician who produced, mixed and mastered the song.
Lady May Africa says: “this song is about finding that strength when everything appears lost and that ability to rise like a Phoenix”.
From LVMU’s perspective, the duo cooperatively pays tribute to rebirth by narrating an inspiring story of struggles and how they overcame them to bring hope to listeners to do the same.
