Knowing Your Rights

IT is very important to introduce the Namibian Constitution to the Namibian nation.

The Prime Minister did a great job by introducing the constitution to school children as was shown on the TV news on Saturday, October 7, even though it was a rare occurrence. What he did shows what kind of leader he is.Our Constitution is the top law of our country and no one has the right to be above it, even our President.The whole Constitution is important but Chapter Three is most important.All Namibians need to know their rights, but if our top leaders are not responsible I doubt if the nation will learn about them.The Government must distribute the Constitution to the youth, in order for them to read it, because they are the leaders of tomorrow and they need to know, so that they won’t make mistakes like some of our top leaders who even violate the Constitution.It is also a good idea to teach the Constitution in schools, especially during free periods.If the children understand, then even the parents will be able to learn, because children can teach their parents if they are told to do so.Our Prime Minister et a good example and all our top leaders should start to do the same.Mirjam Sakaria MarientalWhat he did shows what kind of leader he is.
