THE bodies of two women have washed up along the Huab River after the car they were travelling in was swept away by flood water on Saturday morning.
On Monday, the body of 18-year-old Friscoline Haraes, who was pregnant, washed up 11 kilometres downstream from where the vehicle tried to cross the raging river at Twyfelfontein. The Khorixas Police reported that the body of the other passenger, 27-year-old Margaret Guidao-oas, was found on Tuesday – far from the scene of the accident.The driver survived the incident.The body of Gideon Nuseb (34) has also been recovered near a school at Khorixas after he drowned in the river on Friday afternoon.The Huab River came down over the weekend after 112 mm of rain fell in the Khorixas area between Wednesday and Friday.The Khorixas Police reported that the body of the other passenger, 27-year-old Margaret Guidao-oas, was found on Tuesday – far from the scene of the accident.
