Kehemu cuca shop robbed

RUNDU – The Namibian Police here are investigating a case of armed robbery after masked men raided a shebeen in the Kehemu Informal Settlement on Saturday night.

Police Community Affairs Sergeant, Johannes Kudumo, confirmed the incident to Nampa yesterday. Kudumo said the robbers stole cigarettes and cash.He said the group held people inside the shebeen at gunpoint.The Police have requested members of the public to contact them if they have information that could lead to the arrest of the gunmen.Kudumo also urged residents, especially people in possession of illegal firearms, to hand them over to the authorities to avoid penalties.* In an unrelated incident, the Police here are investigating a hit-and-run incident.A taxi driver hit a 15-year-old boy who was carrying his younger brother across the road on Friday afternoon.The two boys reportedly sustained minor injuries.- NampaKudumo said the robbers stole cigarettes and cash.
