BRAVE Warriors coach Bernhard Kaanjuka has named a 22-man squad for Saturday’s international friendly clash with Zambia in Johannesburg.
With the exception of strikers Jerome Louis and Hendrik Somaeb and goalkeeper Arnold Subeb, Kaanjuka’s selection remained consistent with the sides that he has picked since taking temporary charge in September. The foreign-based legion of forwards Lazarus Kaimbi, Rudolf Bester and Tangeni Shipahu, as well as goalkeepers Virgil Vries and Ephraim Tjihonge, are all available for the match. The Brave Warriors have gradually upped their game since Kaanjuka’s appointment and will be looking to extend their four-match unbeaten run when they meet the Africa Cup of Nations-bound ‘Chipolopolo’. Namibia held Angola – also destined for the Nations Cup – to a goalless home draw in their previous outing in December. In the squad are: Virgil Vries (Golden Arrows), Ephraim Tjihonge (African Warriors), Arnold Subeb (Black Africa), Willem Mwedihanga (Tigers), Larry Horaeb (Ramblers), Steven Sabatha (Tigers), Da Costa Angula (Black Africa), Denzil Hoaseb (Black Africa), Jamu Ngatjizeko (African Stars), Lazarus Kaimbi (Osotspa Saraburi), Willy Stephanus (Black Africa), Neville Tjiueza (Tura Magic), Eslin Kamuhanga (Black Africa), Petrus Shitembi (Rundu Chiefs), Ronald Ketjijere (African Stars), Bryan Bantam (Black Africa), Heini Isaacks (Civics), Sadney Urikhob (Ramblers), Benson Shilongo (Tigers), Jerome Louis (Black Africa), Hendrik Somaeb (Blue Waters), Rudolf Bester (Orlando Pirates), Tangeni Shipahu (Amazulu).
