Attorney General Pendukeni Iivula-Ithana will pay an official visit to Botswana from February 9 to 11.
A media statement released by her office said her visit is in line with reciprocal visits that the Office of the AG has outlined for 2004 to counterpart offices and institutions in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region. It said Iivula-Ithana and her counterpart will interact on strengthening relations between their component institutions such as their legal advisory offices, litigation units and most especially prosecutions offices.Talks will also feature on logistical arrangements related to the Caprivi treason trial under way at Grootfontein, the statement said.It noted that officials from the office of the Attorney General in Botswana had travelled to Namibia in 2003 to consult with officials from the AG’s office here on their restructuring process and institutional reorganisation.Iivula-Ithana’s Special Advisor, Sacky Shangala, and Special Assistant, Wilhelm Nathinge, will accompany her.She returns to Namibia on Wednesday.- NampaIt said Iivula-Ithana and her counterpart will interact on strengthening relations between their component institutions such as their legal advisory offices, litigation units and most especially prosecutions offices.
