Iran calls upcoming Mideast peace conference a failure

TEHRAN – Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei called the upcoming Mideast peace conference in the US a failure yesterday, claiming it was meant to salvage America’s reputation in the region rather than realise the rights of Palestinians, state television reported.
