International energy conference kicks off in Windhoek

The Namibia International Energy Conference 2025 has officially kicked off in Windhoek.

The conference is hosted under the theme ‘Leading The Way: Becoming an Energy Hub with In-Country Value’.

The seventh edition of the conference is set to take place from 23 to 25 April.

RichAfrica chief executive Ndapwilapo Shimutwikeni says the conference will boost Namibia’s energy sector, and collaboration is needed.

“Leading the way is not a solo journey, and collaboration is key to achieving goals,” Shimutwikeni says.

The event is bringing together government decision-makers, industry leaders, investors, and the business community to drive industry growth as well as to focus on the key milestones and strategic moves towards establishing Namibia as a leading energy hub.

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah is represented by prime minister Elijah Ngurare and is expected to deliver the event’s keynote address.

RichAfrica founded the conference in 2012 under the name ‘Namibia Oil and Gas Conference’.
