Go- Kart Business league launched

THE first ever Go-Kart Business League was launched in Windhoek yesterday.

The WesBank backed league is co-opted by the Windhoek Go-Karting Entertainment and involves businesses entering teams to participate over five races. Only 16 business teams can enter, but these individual teams are allowed to change from race to race. The Business League will kick off on the August 20, followed by four more races on September 17, October 8, November 5 and the final will be held on November 26. In total 16 teams can be registered and eight teams will drive against each other on the track, resulting in two leagues of eight teams taking place simultaneously. In the final race the top four of each league will battle for the title of the ultimate Wesbank Go-Kart champion while an additional semi-final will be held between the bottom 4 of each league.Elmarie Cilliers , Head of WesBank said that the Go-karting in Windhoek had proven to be extremely popular hence the move to create a league. It is also an entertaining outing for the whole family. ‘Numerous clients have shown an interest in an organised competition and we at WesBank decided to make it happen,’ Cilliers said. Cilliers added that great prizes were up for grabs for the top performers.’The first place wins the WesBank Go-Karting trophy and wins back their entrance fee of N$5 000,’ she said.
