Geingob visits Emirates

ECONOMIC Minister Sultan bin Saeed Al-Mansouri of the United Arab Emirates received the Namibian Minister of Trade and Industry, Hage Geingob, last week,

They discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to boost co-operation in the economy, investment and industry.
They stressed the need to boost the level of trade to stimulate economic development in both countries, according to the Emirates News Agency (WAM).
Geingob made a presentation on investment opportunities in Namibia, particularly in the areas of agriculture and mining.
He said the country was committed to boosting ties with the UAE to benefit from the latter’s experience in growth and development.
Geingob briefed Al-Mansouri about a ‘model city’ being planned in Namibia and lauded the UAE for achieving development in various areas.
Al-Mansouri called for an increase in trade and investment between the two countries in view of the abundant investment opportunities, particularly in the UAE, which is witnessing great development in the non-oil sector.
