A CASE of rape, assault, theft and assault by threat was opened at Ruacana after a 30-year-old man was arrested for allegedly raping a 27-year-old woman at Oshaandjamwenyo on Tuesday night.
The suspect allegedly grabbed the woman who was on her way home, beat her and wrestled her to the ground, threatened to kill her and took her cellphone before raping her.* At Ondjunguluwe village in the Outapi area on Sunday, a 15-year-old girl was allegedly raped by two men aged 16 and 23. The suspects have been arrested. * On Wednesday morning at Omagola village, a bartender at Good Life Bar was threatened at knifepoint by three suspects in her bedroom. They forced her to open the door leading to the bar and stole a jukebox worth N$50 000. No arrest or recovery has been made.* Police at Oranjemund are investigating a case of theft after a 32-year-old miner was allegedly found in possession of six unpolished diamonds with a weight of 28,50 carats. The suspect was arrested on Wednesday at Namdeb Mining Area One.* At Shayirungu village in the Mukwe area, a 24-year-old man was arrested on Saturday for allegedly setting a hut alight.
