LOS ANGELES – Actress Farrah Fawcett, who has battled cancer for nearly three years, is expected to return home this week after recovering in a Los Angeles hospital from a procedure in Germany, her doctor said on Monday.
‘She remains in good spirits with her usual sense of humour,’ said Dr Lawrence Piro. ‘If everything goes as we hope, we plan to discharge her later in the week.’Fawcett (62) was diagnosed with anal cancer in September 2006. She declared herself free of cancer four months later but the disease returned in 2007.Fawcett gained fame as a pinup model with a sexy swimsuit poster in the 1970s and was cast in the TV show ‘Charlie’s Angels’ in 1976.
