Reach new heights early in the new year with the Avis Peaks fee Trail Run on 25 January. To conquer 13km and four peaks, entry fee is N$200, while 8km and three peaks will cost N$150. The start and finish line is at Eagles Beer Garden, Avis Dam and entries are open now till 22 January. Food and drinks are available from Eagles, and all entries get a free coffee/tea/juice and breakfast snack! You can also bring your swimwear along and cool off in the pool after the run.

There will be live entertainment, free popcorn, and a pop-up floral shop to add a touch of beauty to your night. Bring your own camping chairs and blankets. Tickets are going for N$465.
If you are at the coast on 14 February, you could have a Valentine’s Day dinner at Beach Hotel Swakopmund from 18h00. The four-course meal, which includes beef carpaccio, prawns, steak, panna cotta and other items, will cost N$450 per person.
On 15 February the Big Walk for Little Warriors will take place to raise awareness and show support for children battling cancer. The 5km walk will cost N$20 for children, N$50 for adults and will be free of charge for children in school attire. The starting point will be opposite Food Lover’s Market Swakopmund from 08h00.
All proceeds will go to the Cancer Association of Namibia Children’s Fund.
Thrive 2025 is hosting The Vision Board Rise & Blossom Event on 8 March at the Namibia Institute of Public Administration and Management from 08h30 to 16h00. The topics of discussion will be ‘Unlock your Potential through Entrepreneurship’, featuring guest speakers Fadiah Seibritz, Toivo Nuugulu, Hadino Nghishekwa and Sylvi Kapundja; as well as ‘Positioning Yourself to Excel in the Corporate Environment’, with guest speakers Shiwana Ndeunyema, Sara Kapiye, Hinasha Victoria, Mbudje Manager and Rodney Hoaeb.
