The European Union extended a ban yesterday on imports of poultry products and pet birds from nine Asian countries that were hardest hit by an outbreak of bird flu earlier this year.
The European Commission said the extension would cover imports from Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Pakistan, China, South Korea and Vietnam until December 15. While Thailand was the only bird flu-affected country covered by the restrictions, a precautionary ban was extended to other countries.- Nampa-APWhile Thailand was the only bird flu-affected country covered by the restrictions, a precautionary ban was extended to other countries.- Nampa-AP
