ELEVEN Arrows’ owner Johnny Johnson Doëseb was not impressed with the performance of his team against SKW during the Cell One NFA Cup semi-final clash on Saturday.
Arrows played to a goalless draw, but went on to beat Cymot SKW by 6-5 during a penalty shoot-out.
Doëseb said he was not impressed and noted that improvements are needed, especially in the striking force.
He said his charges failed dismally to capitalise on the chances created.
He was however confident that the coveted cup will head to Walvis Bay once Orlando Pirates are beaten on June 27 at the Independence Stadium.
Doëseb said his technical staff had been studying Orlando Pirates’ way of playing against Ramblers on Saturday.
‘We know their strengths and weaknesses, and we will surely use a winning formula against them,’ said Doëseb.
Meanwhile, Orlando Pirates’ coach Dawid Snewe says it will be a tough final, but a plan is being devised to use against the coastal giants.
He said midfield maestro Klaas Blom’s work schedule and commitments during the week had now been resolved, adding that Blom could not attend training sessions because he knocks off at around 18h00 or 19h00 sometimes.
Snewe said the players have been promised some big reward, but could not disclose anything. Pirates beat Ramblers 3-2 to go into the final.
