Media personality David Mbeha has announced his return to the limelight after a three-year hiatus.

“I’ve been in the industry for about eight years now. I joined the television industry at the age of 20 years. I, therefore, felt that it was important for me to step back and rediscover my love for television, but most importantly to discover who I wanted to be as an entertainer in a world where you are constantly told who you should be. I’m so honoured to be back and to do what I truly love,” he said.

Mbeha says he is looking forward to new challenges and opportunities, and this time he wants to explore more and go out of his comfort zone.

“I’m excited to be working with the Miss Namibia Organisation, as the official host of Miss Namibia 2023. I’ve also been working on the launch of my podcast show, which is centred on motivation, authenticity, empowering and enlightening conversations. I’m so excited to share this with everyone soon,” Mbeha says.

He says during his break, he grew a lot as an individual and felt it was time to share his purpose and passion with the world again. Mbeha says during his hiatus, he constantly ran into people who were inspired by his presenting skills and wanted to see him back on the TV screens.

“During my break, I joined Legends Talent Management in Johannesburg and spent some time going for acting castings. I also got an amazing opportunity to learn more about radio and was featured on a show called ‘Hustler Fix’ on Metro FM and became a content creator for Joburg TV.

The time out has allowed him to be more bold, authentic and purpose-driven, he says, and is excited to partner with brands on various projects.

“I’m much more comfortable in my own skin and that has really elevated my craft as a TV host. My purpose is to be a conduit of conversations that bring healing, empowerment and growth, which is what I’ll be focusing on in my new chapter. I’m much more confident in my creativity and the impact I want to make,” he said.
