BURGLARS broke into a house in Windhoek’s Ludwigsdorf area on Saturday, stealing three hunting rifles, two 38. Special revolvers, and a CZ 9 mm pistol.

The owner of the house on Kathy Street was said to be on holiday at the time of the break-in.
* A Toyota Hilux bakkie was stolen from the Shoprite parking lot in Windhoek on Monday afternoon. Police report that the incident took place between 12h55 and 17h45.
The stolen vehicle, which has not yet been recovered, is a Toyota Hilux.
* The owner of a house in Wanaheda’s Tjingari Street was robbed at home on Monday, when three armed men entered his house and held him at gunpoint.
The robbers took a computer and a cellphone, worth N$12 000 in total.
* The Lalapanzi Lodge at Grootfontein was burgled on New Years’ Eve. Items worth N$1 600 were stolen, including clothes and a bicycle.
The burglars apparently forced open a window to gain entry.
* Burglars made off with items worth N$10 150 from the farm Graspan in the Koës area on New Year’s Eve.
The suspects broke a window to gain entry. A 24-year-old suspect has been arrested.
* At Walvis Bay, burglars broke into a house in State House Crescent on Sunday. A Nissan bakkie parked outside the house was also stolen.
The owners of the house were still on leave by yesterday, and the total value of the stolen items has not been determined yet.
Police reported that the bakkie was later found abandoned in the town’s Kuisebmond suburb, with two rifles that had also been dumped there.
