Convoy gatecrasher to appear in court

THE man who sparked consternation on Tuesday when he swerved into the Founding President’s motorcade in the North will appear in the Oshakati Magistrate’s Court today.

He is expected to be charged with reckless or negligent driving and failing to give way to a motorcade. The 25-year-old man, who is still in Police custody, was arrested on Tuesday afternoon after he nearly careened into former President Sam Nujoma’s car on the road between Ondangwa and Ongwediva.He was allegedly speeding and zigzagged in and out of the convoy before being arrested.
