Congrats To Kamwi

Congrats To Kamwi

PLEASE allow me to congratulate Minister Richard Kamwi for a job well done by recruiting the 103 Kenyan nurses because I believe that every Namibian has a right to effective health care and this just shows that he would like to provide this health care to all Namibians.

It is true that the Health Ministry had a serious staff shortage and I am talking from experience because I witnessed this myself when I was working at Katutura State Hospital as a Namibian Red Cross home-based care trainee. I would however like to propose once again to Dr Kamwi to consider providing nursing training to the home based care volunteers who were trained by Namibia Red Cross Society, who had the opportunity to work in the two State Hospitals in Windhoek and who are still working within the Clinics in their areas. Most of these young people are eager and willing to do the job only if they are given the chance to do so and I am one of these youngsters who would like to work for my people and communicate with them in their own languages so that they can express themselves freely about the problems they have. These (Kenyan) nurses apparently have experience ranking from five to twenty two years and it would be a good platform for us to work with them in order to learn from them.We are willing to be trained on a voluntary basis because we would like to contribute positively to Vision 2030.Minister Kamwi, the will is there, if you would only create the platform for us, we will make you a proud Health Minister.Jarold !Nowaseb SwedenI would however like to propose once again to Dr Kamwi to consider providing nursing training to the home based care volunteers who were trained by Namibia Red Cross Society, who had the opportunity to work in the two State Hospitals in Windhoek and who are still working within the Clinics in their areas. Most of these young people are eager and willing to do the job only if they are given the chance to do so and I am one of these youngsters who would like to work for my people and communicate with them in their own languages so that they can express themselves freely about the problems they have. These (Kenyan) nurses apparently have experience ranking from five to twenty two years and it would be a good platform for us to work with them in order to learn from them.We are willing to be trained on a voluntary basis because we would like to contribute positively to Vision 2030.Minister Kamwi, the will is there, if you would only create the platform for us, we will make you a proud Health Minister.Jarold !Nowaseb Sweden
