THE total number of civil summonses issued in South Africa for debt for the three months to November had increased by 5,2 per cent compared with the same period in 2007.
Statistics SA said. The major contributors to the figure were civil summonses issued in respect of ‘other debts’ (1,8 percentage points), goods sold on an open account (1,5 percentage points) and professional services (1,3 percentage points). – Sapa
