SWAKOPMUND – The Ministry of Gender Equality and Child Welfare on Friday funded five income-generating projects in the region to the tune of N$57 000.
Speaking at the handover, the Governor of the Erongo Region, Samuel Nuuyoma, called on the beneficiaries to spend the money on the projects and not on their own personal use. “I urge you to invest the money you’re receiving today on the projects as have requested by you and do not use the money to pay your accounts,” he said.Nuuyoma said the beneficiaries should work in such a way that they would expand their businesses and employ more people. He said they should also not blame Government when their projects fail due to bad administration, saying Government had done its part in providing funds to kick-start their projects.”The aim of the funding is to uplift you and don’t expect to continue benefiting every year, as we will consider other beneficiaries next year,” he said.Nampa”I urge you to invest the money you’re receiving today on the projects as have requested by you and do not use the money to pay your accounts,” he said.Nuuyoma said the beneficiaries should work in such a way that they would expand their businesses and employ more people. He said they should also not blame Government when their projects fail due to bad administration, saying Government had done its part in providing funds to kick-start their projects.”The aim of the funding is to uplift you and don’t expect to continue benefiting every year, as we will consider other beneficiaries next year,” he said.Nampa
