Case on rape of elderly woman sped up

A CASE in which a 29-year-old Okahandja resident is accused of attacking and raping an 80-year-old woman in her home at Okahandja almost two months ago was fast-tracked to the Windhoek Regional Court yesterday.

Making his third appearance in the Okahandja Magistrate’s Court a day earlier than scheduled, rape suspect Verihaye Kapuire (29) was informed that the Prosecutor General had instructed that his case should be transferred to the Windhoek Regional Court for trial.
